Redemption...

Friday may have been awful, but Sunday was awesome. After missing the Mommy and Me day at the Children's Museum, off we went on Sunday. It was free!!! We were clueless. Busy as it was, we made it into PlayScape with no waiting and had a blast. Miss Lia was a good girl and even stayed awake until we got home. Which means I got a nap too.

Then to continue the goodness today, our chicks arrived. They are super cute again...not big ugly chickens yet. See....

Ugh!

Today stinks. We lost all our chickens except one. I left the car seat in the truck so we couldn't leave. Of course I realized this after I totally hyped going to the museum. I thought Lia forgot, but she just said to me, "Mommy and Lia go to the museum today. Yea!"

Fail.

38 days and counting...

Am I nesting? According to my husband, yes, and more so than with Lia. And I freely admit it because stuff needs to get done around here! What have I done in the past couple of days? Here you go...

Cleaned out and organized the linen closet. I still need to label the new baskets in there. But trust me if was a mess before!

Cleaned out and organized our closet. I also went through my clothes and donated three bags and a giant torrid clothes. This explains the empty racks on my side of the closet. I did not take a photo of David's although it's pretty neat too.

Found the baby bottles, uncluttered a cabinet in the kitchen to make room for them, and found the new nipples I bought for them.

Today is packing the hospital bag and organizing the kids bathroom, and going through my cubbies in the kitchen.

May the nesting continue until birth so my house is amazing before I bring home Baby J.

These are the days....

Today is so great I almost don't know what to do! Lia had therapy today. I am beyond excited to say she ate some carrot. After over five weeks of baby steps, this is a major accomplishment. Add on that she didn't cry and we've got ourselves a modern day miracle!

We are having a stay at home day too. Lia is happy. It's sunny and her Daddy came home for lunch. It outside to play in the sand, then books and naps.

It doesn't get much better!

Fun Time at the Dentist

I braved the dentist with Lia today. Luckily I worked there through high school and a couple summers in college, so I'm comfy there. Not to mention I came prepared. Turns out all Lia needed was a trip to the toy box and we were happy campers. AND I have no cavities despite my gagging every morning brushing my teeth...thank you very much baby!

Lia has a little runny nose. She's not too effected yet other than giving extra snuggles, like this. Oh and please ignore my baby belly. Thanks.

You let your daughter have Cheetos and chocolate before breakfast and take a bath in purple water.

It's so great to see my Lia's smile again. It took one day of serious cry it out sadness. Now she fusses for maybe 5 minutes and is down. She has napped the past two days and gone to sleep at bedtime for almost the whole night. Thank goodness! I missed my sunny girl!

In other news, today is chore day. Laundry, laundry, and more laundry! I've also been organizing Lia and Baby J's room. Our upstairs is a nightmare so I'm ready to get the clutter into the spare room out of my room! So hopefully I'll have pictures of the new nursery/big girl room soon!

Cry It Out

We've tried everything with this big girl bed for Lia. It was finally unavoidable that we try a little good old fashioned CIO. I'm not a big fan. It breaks my heart to hear her. Especially trying to soothe herself with things like "it'll be okay," and "mommy get you," or "I'm sorry, deal." but she put herself back in bed, turned on her seahorse lovey, and went to sleep. It just sucked getting there. Hopefully we won't have to do that again...but we probably will.
