A Weekend to Remember...

It started out so nice with David coming home early on Friday and plans for family coming over on Saturday. But I was feeling a bit off. I struggled through the day until about five when I told David I needed to lay down. Long story short I started getting violently sick and continued to do so for a good 12 hours. In the morning I was miserable, unable to keep down water, and on my way to the hospital. It took five tries to get an IV in my arm because I was so dehydrated.

I was feeling better by the next day, just in time for David to get sick. Luckily he wasn't as bad as me, but that's not saying much. We are thankful that Lia is showing no signs of feeling bad. But I feel bad for keeping her inside pretty much all weekend. She's such a good girl!

Anyway, here's a picture of my war wounds and Lia occupying herself since Mommy and Daddy couldn't do it.

Winding down

So time with this pregnancy is winding down...and so is time for my only child, Lia. She is a beautiful ballerina, just ask her, and the apple of her daddy's eye. Our easy routine is about to get rocked! Those extended snuggle times will probably be interrupted by a baby brother who hasn't learned any patience. But no matter what she's my sweetest, silly faced girlie!

Is it naptime yet?!?

No really, it's 11:21 and I would like a nap. Don't think I need one? If being 3 weeks-ish from my due date isn't reason enough, just look at this face!

Back to the Nest...

So I've taken a few days off from nesting to hang with my hubby, play sidewalk chalk with my sweet daughter, go to a baby shower, and do a quickie celebration of mothers day and birthday with my Mom. Whew!

But now, it's back to getting things ready for Baby J. I have squeezed in washing the linens off all the baby stuff, like car seat, bassinet, boppy, and so on. Today was the cleaning and organizing. I went through all Lia's toys and found organized spaces for them all. I also did the same thing for the office closet and bookcase. Then dusted and swept out the whole mess, which if I'm being honest, needed it a looong time ago. Not sure what's next, but I have a list.

In the meantime enjoy these pictures of my family. :)

Rainy Day Soapy Soap!

So I found today that if you squeeze some dish soap and a little water into the food processor and let it run, you get foam! Big glops of foam. Then arm your toddler with a basting brush and spoon, you will have a very clean activity on your hands!

Lia thinks she is a painter!
